I have always been drawn to working with children, initially as a reception teacher and then after having my own three children, as a Play Therapist and a Counsellor. I have worked as a School Counsellor for many years in primary and secondary schools and at a pupil referral unit for excluded children.

I also have a busy private practice in West Horsley, Surrey, where I see children, teenagers and adults. In 2003 I installed a purpose-built log cabin with a fully equipped playroom and counselling room. I prefer working face to face especially with primary school aged children but appreciate the convenience of working online for older students.

I have a passion for learning and am usually studying new ways to help children and young people manage their emotions, and learn new skills to build their confidence, self-worth and resilience.
